Our collection numbers almost 125,000 volumes, with over 30,000 in the Children’s Department alone. The large Reference collection is known for its emphasis on Lynn history, genealogy, the Civil War, business and law. The Circulation Department keeps current with all the best sellers.

The Lynn Public Library is one of 28 area libraries that make up the North of Boston Library Exchange (NOBLE).

Test your knowledge by answering 60 trivia questions (four rounds of 15) created by librarian and trivia host extraordinaire Kat Lewin. Recruit some teammates or play solo — the choice is yours! Be prepared to answer a hodgepodge of general knowledge trivia questions. That’s right, for just the second time in four years, we’re going theme-less, so buckle up! Have you ever learned something and said, “well, that’ll come in handy for trivia night someday?” It’s time. There is a 50-team limit. For Adults only. Recruit some teammates or play solo! Registration is required. Click here to register.

Julia will give practical advice on how you can improve your efforts to reduce, re-use and recycle in your day-to-day life in order to make a positive impact on our environment. Movie Night Book Club

The Lynn Public Library’s Adult Circulation Department is proud to introduce our newest program, Movie Night Book Club.

This book club will meet once each month to discuss books that have been adapted into a movie. Interested patrons will be provided a copy of the book to read, as well as a copy of the movie to view. At the meeting, we will talk about the similarities, differences, what we liked/didn’t like, and more. Our next meeting will be MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 16th at 6:30PM. We’ll be reading/viewing A Game of Thrones (Season 1 and first book in ASOIAF series). Copies of the book and DVD are available now! If you are an adult patron (must be 18+) who is interested in participating in our Movie Night Book Club, please stop by the main desk to register and pick up your copies of the book and movie.
