The Lynn Public Library does not charge late fines on our items, but items borrowed from other libraries may incur late fines.
If you need more time, items may be renewed (see below).
Renewals
Need more time to finish that book? Didn’t get a chance to watch the DVD you borrowed? Love that song so much, you just need to hold onto that CD a little longer? Good news, you may be able to renew your item! Renal allowances are available as follows:
- Books – 2 renewals
- New Books – 2 renewals
- Reading List – 2 renewals
- Audiobooks – 2 renewals
- Movies/Music –1 renewal
- Magazines – 1 renewal
Items with no holds will renew automatically on their due date. Patrons who receive notifications by email will receive a renewal notice. You can also renew your items from home by logging onto your account here or by calling the library at 781-595-0567 (please have your library card number ready).
We are not able to renew items that have holds (requested by another patron). The Lynn Public Library does not charge late fines on our items, but items borrowed from other libraries may incur late fines. If your item cannot be renewed, please be sure to return it as soon as possible.
Returning Items
Items can be returned to any desk or indoor drop box during our regular business hours. The Lynn Public Library also offers 3 outdoor drop boxes that are open 24 hours a day. Our return boxes can be found in the following locations:
- In our back parking lot (off of Franklin St.)
- Outside the Children’s Department entrance (on Franklin St.)
- Near the main handicap ramp (facing the Boys and Girls Club)
We are not accepting donations at this time.
